Carbon removal (CR) is a critical issue for France in terms of climate action and national sovereignty, given the country\u2019s carbon neutrality goals for 2050. The capture and storage of biogenic CO\u2082 from biomethane is a key lever for achieving negative emissions, but it remains insufficiently integrated into the National Low-Carbon Strategy (SNBC), the strategy for deploying CO\u2082 capture, utilization, and storage\u00a0(CCUS) deployment strategy, and existing support mechanisms.<\/p>\n
