AFEN organizes the CDR France Days 2025

Building on its success in 2024, AFEN invites you to the 2025 edition of the CDR France Days 2025 (EDC or CDR). This flagship event brings together each year the key players in an economic sector destined to revolutionize our climate approach.

The two-day program

Tuesday, October 14 (2pm-8pm)

Plenary session in French with leading speakers: Pierre Friedlingstein (IPSL), Jean-Pierre Gattuso (CNRS), Vanina Paoli-Gagin (Sénat), Thomas Giraud and Lizzy Coad (Boston Consulting Group), Ben Field (Patch), Alexandre Marty (EDF), Alexis Manuel (ENGIE), Léo Barruol (Schneider Electric), Florian Maganza (Stripe), Paolo Piffaretti (ClimeFi), Walid Sinno (CQuestra), Mallorie Navarre (Téréga), Thomas Le Guénan (BRGM), as well as representatives from AFEN, Carbon Gap and Cleantech for France. The day will end with an aperitif dinner to encourage exchanges.

Wednesday, October 15 (9am-4pm)

An in-depth scientific morning followed by thematic workshops and English-language sessions focusing on three major themes:

  • Science and research Blind spots in scientific knowledge with Pierre Friedlingstein (IPSL), Jean-Pierre Gattuso (CNRS), Fabrice Pernet (IFREMER) and Carlos Andrade (Chaire Carma)
  • EDC public policies International perspectives (Germany, Finland, Sweden, Canada) and progress in France with Florence Delprat-Jannaud (Club CO₂), Karima Benelhadj (BPI France), Frédéric Branger (DGEC) and Erica Dorr/Clément Georget (Rainbow).
  • Invest in CDR unlocking financing with investors (NEP, France Invest), purchasing companies and CDR project presentations (Standard Gas, Norma, Vesta, Pronoe, Carbonway, SeaO2)

Why participate?

This edition aims to mobilize all stakeholders around an ambitious national strategy and concrete objectives for 2026. We will address the CDR progress mentioned in the recently published report by AFEN and BCG, scientific innovations as well as international advances.

200 participants expected public institutions, large corporations, investors, researchers, startups and CDR industry players.
